MOTUL 5100 4T 10W50†is a†4-stroke multigrade oil†for demanding motorcycle engines based on MOTUL- Technosynthesis with high quality Ester components and special additives for gear lubrication. Exceeds the requirements of the motorcaclye manufacturers such as HONDA, YAMAHA, which prescribe the viscosity SAE 10W50. For high performance bikes, sport bikes, street bikes, trail, off road bikes, enduro, ATV, scooter etc. with 4-stroke engines with or without integral gear, wet or dry clutch. JASO (Japanese Automobile Standards Organization) has developed its own standard for 4-stroke motorcycle engine oils, the JASO T 903. The gradations MA, MA1 and MA2 facilitate the selection of motorcycle engine oils which are specifically designed for wet clutches. JASO MA2 stands for the highest friction values and thus for optimal clutch compatibility when changing gears during the acceleration phase and also with uniformly high speed.

- Ester components improve the shear strength, the wear protection and the service life of the engine and transmission in cunjunction with the additive package. This is documented with the outstanding test result of the damage load level =14 FLS (Failure Load Stage). The lower the value, for example 1 FLS, the lower the wear protection, the higher the value, for example >14 FLS, the higher the wear protection of the transmission. With this test it can be determined wether an adequat lubricant film thickness between the gears ensure reliable operation of the transmission.
